Abandoned Warehouse Model: The Process

Here are some images showing my modeling process in Autodesk’s Maya of an abandoned warehouse interior for my Environmental Design & Modeling class. We were provided a only two reference images, and we had to model the whole interior as accurately as possible, although we were allowed have some freedom with the back room.

These renders show the finished greybox of the scene, along with some small details and props added in there as I progressed. The last few shots have some simple lighting in them to make the piece a little more organic.

Here’s a few more shots with some varying daylight.

Furthering the process with additional props and some textures.

Putting the final props in place.

Here is the scene 90% complete. I just have yet to add a few more textures, some more lighting, and to position a few more models to my satisfaction.
